in the public good, to the goal of fair, just and equitable property
tax administration.

2011 March Board of Review
Notice of 2011 Assessment, Taxable Valuation and Property
Classification (Assessment Change Notices) were mailed out the end
of February and indicated the change in Assessed and Taxable Values
from last year to this 2011 year. If you disagreed with the value,
your recourse was to schedule an appointment to appeal your Assessed
Value at the March Board of Review. The Assessed Value represents
50% of market value.
Please remember that the March Board of
Review is an appeal process to review property values, not tax
bills. The Board of Review has no jurisdiction over the millage
rates that are multiplied against taxable values in order to
calculate the tax bill. Those appeals were for the 2011 tax year
only.
2011 July Board of Review
The Board of Review met on Tuesday July 19, 2011 by appointment to review Poverty Exemptions, Principal Residence Exemptions, & Qualified Errors only. Appeals for Assessed Value can only go to the March Board of Review.
2011 December Board of Review
The Board of Review will be meeting on Tuesday December 13, 2011 by appointment to review Poverty Exemptions, Principal Residence Exemptions, & Qualified Errors only. Appeals for Assessed Value can only go to the March Board of Review.
