The 2011 Oakland County dog licenses will go on sale, December 1, 2010 at Independence Township Treasurer’s Office. Dogs are now required to be licensed at four (4) months of age. Verification of rabies vaccination and sterilization papers must be presented at the time of purchase. Cost is $7.50 for a spayed or neutered dog; $15.00 for a dog not spayed or neutered. You must renew licenses by May 31, 2011.
Beginning June 2 Oakland County charges $30.00 for the dog
license. (Exceptions include: newly acquired dogs and new residents
within a 30 day grace period.)
